Can I actually edit a PDF without paying for Adobe?
Yes. Drop your PDF on this page, click Edit, and change what you need to change. No signup, no watermark, no “upgrade to unlock this feature.” We built this because Adobe charges $17–$20 a month to do things that take ten seconds.
Is it really free? What's the catch?
There isn't one. Editing, signing, merging, splitting, compressing, annotating, converting — all free, for as long as you need to use them. If you want bigger file sizes or saved-and-exported edits, we have a paid Pro tier. If you don't, you never see it.
What happens to my file after I upload it?
We delete it within an hour. We encrypt the upload. We don't read it, index it, sell it, or train a model on it. Your PDF passes through our servers and leaves. That's the whole deal.
Will there be a watermark on my finished PDF?
Never. Not on the free version, not on the Pro version, not on the 100th file you process today. If we ever add a watermark, assume somebody hacked us.
Do I need to sign up, create an account, or enter an email?
No, no, and no. The button says “Drop your PDF here” — that's the whole onboarding.
Does this work on a Mac, Chromebook, iPad, or phone?
If it has a browser — Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge — it works. Nothing to install. Nothing to configure.
Can I edit a PDF that's password-protected or scanned?
If you have the password, yes — use Unlock PDF first, then edit. If it's a scanned page (a photo of a document), run it through OCR first so the text becomes editable. Both tools are free and linked below.
Why should I trust Pdf Clarity over Smallpdf, iLovePDF, or Sejda?
